Fittingly, the author of the blog Brooke Actually shares a name with it. While my last name isn’t, “Actually”, my first name is, “Brooke”. I’m a native of Knoxville, TN and in May I will complete a Master’s Degree in Reliability and Maintainability Engineering. If I had to guess what I’m made of it would be dry wit, inappropriate jokes, wanderlust, and the ability to draw great friends despite my sarcastic disposition.

I’ve never been great at appropriately defining who I am when asked, and I suppose that’s the true reason that I created this blog in the first place. I don’t feel like the ways I have been taught to define myself are actually who I am. My goal for writing this blog will be to collect my thoughts and opinions on topics like mental health, adulthood, relationships, personal interests, and travels. I hope by doing this I will understand who I am better; if in the process someone else happens to read it and get something out of it, as well, all the better.
